HelpCenter.io is operated by HelpCenter Solutions Ltd., a Bulgarian company. Our core application and customer content are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU. Our Privacy Policy identifies the company and explains how to contact us about personal data.

Understand the scope of EU hosting

Core hosting is one part of your data protection assessment. Payment, communications, website measurement, content delivery, and integrations can involve other providers. Public articles are accessible to visitors worldwide. A hosting location alone does not establish where every provider or authorised recipient processes data.

For a deployment with specific residency requirements, contact office@helpcenter.io before enabling integrations or uploading personal data. Ask us to confirm the providers, processing locations, remote-access arrangements, and transfer safeguards for the features you intend to use.

Processing data for your organisation

You decide which personal data to put in your help centre and who can access it. Where we process that data on your behalf, we act as your processor; you act as controller, or as a processor with authority from your own customer. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) needs to govern that processing under Article 28 GDPR.

Contact office@helpcenter.io to arrange a DPA before using HelpCenter.io to process personal data on behalf of your organisation. Our Privacy Policy explains our own processing; it does not replace a DPA.

Information for your supplier review

Send us your requirements so we can confirm the scope for your use of HelpCenter.io:

• The DPA, including instructions, confidentiality, security, incident notification, assistance with individual rights, and return or deletion of data.
• The providers that process your data, their locations, and the arrangements for notifying you of changes.
• Retention and deletion arrangements for active data, search indexes, logs, and backups.
• Security measures and the processing arrangements for AI and any integrations you enable.

Controls for your content

HelpCenter.io provides content visibility settings and team permissions. Your configuration determines which articles are public and which require access. Review permissions and the content you publish, and share only the personal data needed for your use of the service.

Account owners can review the versioned DPA and access accepted versions. Acceptance remains unavailable while the operational annexes are being verified.
