About the template

About Docs Focus

Docs Focus is built for product and developer documentation. A centred menu shares the top bar with your logo and a compact search field. Categories form open sections in the sidebar, with accent headings, nested article links and a marker for the page being read.

Articles use three columns, with a restrained reading width and an outline on the right. The home page introduces your documentation with category cards and recent updates, while category and search pages use simple article lists. Light and dark palettes share a rose accent and quiet borders.

Best for

  • Product and developer documentation
  • Deep category hierarchies that readers need to scan
  • Long guides that benefit from a narrow reading column

FAQ

Questions about Docs Focus.

More in the templates FAQ, or ask our team from our help center.

Is the Docs Focus template free?

Docs Focus is included in every HelpCenter.io plan at no extra cost, like every template, and you can try it free for 14 days with no credit card needed.

Can I change Docs Focus’s colours and fonts?

Yes. Docs Focus starts with Inter and #be185d as its primary colour. Both are settings in the visual editor, along with your logo, the rest of the palette, the corner radius and the spacing, and changing one restyles every page.

Does Docs Focus have a dark mode?

Yes. Docs Focus has its own dark palette, and visitors get it automatically when their device is set to dark mode. You can edit the dark palette separately from the light one, and add a logo made for dark backgrounds.

Can I switch from Docs Focus to another template later?

Yes, whenever you like, from the theme gallery in the editor. You compare the new template with your current design and choose which parts of it to apply. Your articles and categories are never touched, and nothing changes for visitors until you publish.

Does Docs Focus work on phones?

Yes. Docs Focus is built to reflow on screens as narrow as 320px, and the editor previews desktop, tablet and mobile sizes before you publish. The phone screenshot on this page shows its home page 390 pixels wide.
